AvioData was founded by safety and compliance professionals who spent decades working in aviation operations — and grew tired of managing safety programmes in spreadsheets and email chains.
AvioData was born out of a simple frustration: there was no practical, purpose-built digital platform for managing aviation safety management systems. Generic compliance tools required extensive customisation. Custom-built solutions cost a fortune. And spreadsheets — well, they're spreadsheets.
Drawing on over 20 years of hands-on experience in aviation compliance and safety management, our founders set out to build the platform they always wished existed: modular, intuitive, aligned with EASA regulations, and actually designed for how aviation operators work.
Today, AvioData serves airlines and NCC operators across Europe, providing a comprehensive, cloud-based platform that covers every aspect of the ORO.GEN.200 safety management framework — from corrective action tracking to audit scheduling, from hazard logging to crew communications.
AvioData (aviodata.net) is an independent Dutch aviation SMS platform operated by Stichting Avia Cloud (KVK 57067945), registered in the Netherlands at Dirkappel 25, 4255 JT Nieuwendijk. The stichting's stated purpose is stimulating the development of web applications for aviation. AvioData is one of several trade names operated under Stichting Avia Cloud.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way related to AvioBook (aviobook.aero) — a Thales Group company that markets an unrelated navigation database product under a similar name. The two products serve entirely different purposes and share no organisational connection.
AvioData was previously distributed in partnership with Nextgear Aviation. That partnership has ended and the platform is now operated directly and exclusively at aviodata.net.

We'd love to tell you more about how AvioData was built and how it can work for your operation.
